Suzzy Pinamang Flown to UK for Emergency Eye Surgery Sponsored by Ibrahim Mahama S
The Ghanaian student, accidentally shot in the eye, receives full medical sponsorship from philanthropist Ibrahim Mahama for urgent treatment in the UK.

Ghanaian student Suzzy Pinamang, who suffered a serious eye injury after being accidentally shot, has safely arrived in the United Kingdom for an urgent surgical procedure. Her trip and entire medical treatment are being fully funded by businessman and philanthropist Ibrahim Mahama.
Suzzy landed in the UK on Saturday, May 10, 2025, accompanied by her brother, who is serving as her primary caregiver during her stay. Also traveling with them was Rafik Mahama, the special aide to Mr. Ibrahim Mahama, who has been personally overseeing the arrangements.
The decision to send Suzzy abroad followed strong medical recommendations from eye specialists at both Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital in Kumasi and Agarwal Eye Hospital in Accra, who determined that the extent of the damage to her eye required urgent specialist intervention not available in Ghana.
Thanks to Mr. Mahama’s timely support, Suzzy’s family has not had to bear any financial burden during this difficult time. His generosity has ensured she can access world-class treatment without delay, offering hope for a full recovery and a return to normal life.
This remarkable act of kindness has drawn widespread admiration and is a reminder of the power of compassion in transforming lives.
